I am all for people supporting smaller, local daries and creameries. I think that's a much better route to go than just buying organic. Because the people at that dairy are right: while organic does oftentimes mean quality, we have been erroneously led to believe that organic EQUALS quality. I think you'd be better off getting milk from a small local place whose values you know than a big organic dairy. Go for it! I am all for people supporting smaller, local daries and creameries. I have a hormone imbalance (shocking, I know) and organic milk was doing me huge favors. Turns out it's because those cows aren't given growth hormones, not the no-antibiotics bit. A local dairy here doesn't use growth hormones but does use antibiotics and I'm getting all the same benefits. Point is- I get to buy local and be healthier without the nonsense.
