S is for…

Sisterhood! And also, Su, who is my first Sisterhood of the Traveling Blog guest poster!

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Blog is the brainchild of Asheyna, who decided it was time for us women to work together to create something great! I am excited for this adventure; I am already meeting new and wonderful women (Su being one of them – I had no idea who she was before Ashey paired us up).

Alright, take it away, Su!

Hello,

First off it is honour to blog here as a guest and I hope you enjoy reading my mixed musing.

I often lack inspiration so it’s like when you hit one of these blocks I wonder what other people do.  I mean listening to music (yes 80’s chick sorry) and see where that takes me, providing Skype doesn’t prove too much of a bigger distraction than what it already does.

Su's partially finished painting

I can sit for hours at the pc or while I am walking with just thinking “must do something to get me out of this rut” and then when I am on the train on a trip into Manchester and something hits me and I have no way of writing this down.  Life stinks when it happens,  As I type this now I have a half-finished painting on my bed  and thinking “Drawing lessons” but to be honest I love being able to draw weird stuff without thinking.

Also another past time is reading and currently reading my way through a 800+ page novel is a daunting challenge, I aim to have this finished by the end of this month, SO far so good 570+ pages in and I am still enjoying it which bodes well for the other two books in the series I have recently paid for.  Surprisingly they also inspire some of my artwork which is a little bit of a mish match, a bit of randomness did no one any harm did it?

For those who play games minecraft is the most addictive bit of kit I have come along.  I can’t put it down,  One tip I will give you play on peaceful before you crank up the difficulty,  You will thank me for this when your house is built and the creepers “cant” do much harm to you :D

Anyways been a blast and see you soon

Su
