That’s right! My birthday is right around the corner (thanks so much for all the early birthday wishes, guys), so it is time to get this contest underway!
Once upon a time, I said I would be giving away one signed book for every 50 followers the blah-g has. But you know what? That means I would only be able to give one book away. I love all three books, and I want to give them all a new home! So, because all 55 of you are so great, I am going to go ahead and give all three books away!
Wait! I am new here. What three books are we talking about?
Thanks for asking, Mr. Anonymous-Made-Up-Follower-Man. I am so excited to be giving away signed copies of:
So, here’s how this thing is going to work:
Just fill out the form below. Every follower has one entry, but there are options for more entries! Who doesn’t like to increase their odds? Post a blog entry, tweet a Tweet, and link in the sidebar and get extra chances to win!
And, like I promised so long ago, those few people who were following along with me before I announced this contest will get extra entries as well (I know who you are
).
Also (and I promise I am almost done rambling): I know there are some of you who are regular visitors or who subscribe via email. While you have to be a Google Friend Connect follower to get all the shiny extra entries, I don’t want to leave you completely out. So this is what we’ll do:
One book will be given away to someone who leaves a comment on this post telling me what their favorite summer-time activity is or what they are most looking forward to about summer. That’s it! Give me some summer love in the comments for your chance to win.
The other two winners will be drawn from those people who fill out the form. Yes, you can both comment and use the form–you will be in the running for all three titles!
Alright. I think that is all. The contest will close April 30th at 11:59 PM. Winners will be picked at random and emailed. Book choice is first-come first-served.
Entries closed!!

Awesome book choices!!
My favorite thing to do in the summer is head on to my grams’ house in Reading, PA and just lounge around reading and eating her food! I live in the Dominican Republic so, usually when i go there i spend most of my summer vacations with her =)!
I will be going this summer so that’s what i’m most looking forward to!
I think you know my favorite summer activity… Seeley! Also, do I get any extra entries for all the knitted goodness?
Hmmm…I will take that under consideration.
Congrats on the first contest!
My favorite thing about summer? I love the weather. San Francisco doesn’t normally get very hot, but ten degrees makes a big difference.
Ooooh let me see *thinks and strokes chin*
I love being able to write outside in the sunshine :~) Also daisy chain making, it never gets old!!
My favorite thing about the summer is FINALLY getting back to the nice weather. On the east coast there has been so much snow and rain this season. Now I get some sunshine and can take my niece and nephew to the park. The one thing I love to do during the summer is go to cookouts over my friends and families house. I get to laugh and joke around while stuffing my face. It’s a win, win.
Vision blurring……Red haze descending…..Aggression bursting…. Cravings for cheesecake uncontrollable….. Yup, pretty sure its Comment battle lust. Oh, and I love trekking into the mountains. I am praying to hike or ride into the Bob Marshal and witness the splendor of the China Wall.
Best summer activity is going to the beach.
Hiking. In the winter we go snowboarding, and in the summer we go hiking. I love how sunshine feels when it’s filtered through trees.
My favorite summer activity would have to be going to Charleston, SC. The whole thing! Going downtown, walking in the Market, down King Street, or the Battery…letting the kids play in the Pineapple Fountain….ok, playing in the Pineapple fountain, eating the fantastic food, and then heading to the beach to read a fantastic book!
I’m dreaming already!
What a terrific contest! As far as summertime, I’m looking forward to take lots of long walks around the lakes. Because when you live in Minnesota, walking outdoors isn’t a year long sport!
Thank you Rachel for this great giveaway!
What I love most about summer is that I can spend lazy days/aftermnoon reading in the garden while sunbathing or just relaxing in the shadows, and that it will become dark only after 9pm! I love summer night walks, when the air is balmy and soft full of flower scents and crickets!
Woohoo you’re almost at 75 followers! Congrats!
Thanks for the great contest, I’m dying to read As You Wish and The Secret Year!
Wow totally forgot to include my favorite thing about summer! haha oops!
My favorite summer time activity is going up to the lake(lake champlain) where our family has campers and spending the weekend there. It’s so nice and everyone is there. We always have such good times! I can’t wait until we start going up this year!!
Favorite summer activity? Riding my husband’s motorcycle together (unless it’s broken, like now), reading in the air conditioned house (it gets hot here) or going swimming later in the day.
Thanks for the giveaway. : )
My favorite summer activity is swimming. I love swimming but haven’t been in a long time.
Summer in my country is like a blast furnace! Still I love summer…the harsh winters with its cold daggers do not hold much appeal for me. I love fruits;and we get all sorts of fruits during the summer-mango,pineapple,lichi,watermelon,etc. Summer is a warm change from the dry winter spells for me. The trees put on their green garment in the summer-now that is what soothes my eyes the most! I love the green leaves, the motley flowers the trees blossom…its all so lovely!!
I was so carried away by my love for summer that I forgot to mention that my favorite summer activity is swimming.
My favourite thing to do in summer is go in the pool and tan. Whether you sit there reading/listening to your ipod, its just relaxing. Of course the beaches here are good, and the sand so soft. Summer has a happy vibe, the only bugger about summer, are the hot nights, when you try to go to sleep but its just too hot. Otherwise, nice cold drinks, fresh fruit, bbq’s and sun..what more could you ask from a season?
Thank you for the great giveaway Rachel!!
Favorite summer activity? Being at the beach, hands down! I love to swim in the ocean
Is this contest open internationally?
Yes it is!
Happy Birthday! And thanks for the giveaway!
I hope you have an amazing birthday!! Best wishes for the year ahead, I hope it’s full of happiness
What do I love most about summer? Well since I live in Australia, summer for me is my birthday then 20 days later, Christmas! Oh and New Years Eve/Day. So I have a few fun dates to look forward to, even though the heat is usually scorching hot. So on a blistering hot summer’s day – lazing under the beautiful air conditioner with a book under my nose or music in my ears is the perfect day
And when the sun isn’t trying to kill me, only warm me – to then outdoors I go!
You have the same birthday as my husband! It is a great day.
Happy Birthday to YOUUUU!!!
My favorite summer activity would be going to the beach and eating lots of ice-cream!
I’m definitely looking forward to summer! My highlight this year is going to Thailand for 7 weeks. So. Excited.
I love taking the children to our local outdoor pool.
I get a little, badly needed, exercise and then I sit poolside , where it is always cool, and spend an hour or so reading my book while the children have fun at a healthy activity.
I live in a summer-ish all-year-long country, so it’s like asking what I do everyday.
But during my “summer” holidays, I really want to go to beach! Beach is always relaxing.
Hey – just found your blog and I love it! Will def enter your contest:)
XO – your latest follower.
My favorite summer activity is going on vacation to somewhere new and foreign. I love the anticipation of waiting until the departure date, and even coming home is special, since the journey back is always full of newly earned memories.
Thank you!
My favourite summer activity is tennis and going to the beach. What I’m most looking forward to in summer is vacation. Who doesn’t love free time?
My fav summer activity is going to the beach and building sandcastles! I’m a little afraid of the water (well, more like sharks), so I usually stick to the shallow areas, but the sand – oh, how I love it!
I like walking our river trail. And if its okay, I would just like to be in the As You Wish and The Secret Year runnings. Love You! Happy Bday!
What?! No Forest of Hands and Teeth. For shame! That book is stellar. Though, winners get to pick their books on a first come first serve basis…so if you win and are fast, you can get whichever one you want.
I am looking forward to going to the beach in another country!
Happy birthday, girl!
