The other day, I was thinking about the importance of book covers when it comes to buying a book. For me, I will buy any book I think sounds good; however, a great cover really can boost a book’s odds. When I am browsing in a store, I am definitely more likely to pick up a book with a great cover than one without (unless I have a lot of time to kill–then I will read the back of just about anything).
I already talked a bit about book covers I love. Today, I want to share just a couple more–books I bought/will buy based largely on the cover. I am starting to notice a trend here:
Something about these lone-girl covers just really catches my eye. Hopefully I will love the books as much as I love their covers.
How about you? Do you find yourself drawn to a certain look when you are browsing for books?

We have similar tastes in covers!
I love books with models on the cover. Not sure why – I just do.
Good choices!
Hey thanks! I just love when a cover pulls me in and makes me want to read a book so badly. I am never quite sure what it is about them that does it, but apparently I have a “type”.
forgot about After — love that one!
the antagonist (Mandarin) in my debut has long black hair, and the setting is really windy… naturally I should have one of those windy black hair covers, but then, there sure have been a lot lately (also see I Am Apache)
You are right–there has been quite a few windy hair covers lately. I just love them! I am Apache is a good one, too.
