He's just a tiny little guy
Laptop has become very attitudinal of late. His battery is less and less reliable, and sometimes his power connection doesn’t properly connect, so he doesn’t charge (and when it does properly connect, you better believe it will fall back out if you move Laptop-or breathe wrong around it).
So, in a response to this unruly attitude from Laptop, I bought a shiny new toy. My brand new Acer Aspire One netbook gets here today! This little guy’s keyboard is only 89% full size, but with my little midget hands, I don’t really notice a difference. And the best part? The battery life. It boasts up to nine hours. All of the reviews I read said that nine is pushing it, but that it gets more than seven easily. That is more than enough battery time to get me from home to any of the places we frequently visit (anywhere from three to five hour drives).
Woo-hoo for a computer that is actually portable-Laptop is very UNportable. Laptop will now be send to Bubba’s graveyard of programming computers, where he will wait to be useful again. It is possible that he will be cannibalized for parts. Poor Laptop. Maybe he shouldn’t have been such a rebel.

To Roger: How’s the new life for you? I’m digging mine so far. This chick is giving me plenty of exercise. (Though between you and me, I think she’s not doing something she’s supposed to be doing – she keeps opening Word, uses other programs, goes back to the blank document, but never types anything.) Hope you like your new diggs. Later dude.
I love my new home! It is so, so, SO much better than that dark box in the dusty warehouse. My keys are getting quite a workout, and I get almost no sleep, but I am happy! I guess I was just born to be a worker.
